Careers Programme Information

Welcome to The Gatwick School's Careers Program – Guiding Tomorrow's Leaders!

At The Gatwick School, we are committed to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of our students, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Our Careers Program is designed to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to make informed decisions about their future pathways.

Our program is built on the foundation of personalised guidance, ensuring that each student can explore a diverse range of career options aligned with their unique interests, talents, and aspirations. We believe in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment that encourages self-discovery and empowers students to set ambitious goals for their future.

Key Features of The Gatwick School's Careers Program:

Comprehensive Guidance

Our independent careers advisor, curriculum specialists and pastoral team work closely with students to provide personalised support, assisting students in identifying their strengths, interests, and potential career paths.

Industry Connections

We strive to bridge the gap between education and the professional world by facilitating interactions with industry experts, organising career fairs, and offering work experience opportunities. Being based in Manor Royal Business Park provides us with a unique resource, we not only provide opportunities but we maintain relationships with our industry neighbour’s. This exposure helps students gain valuable insights into various professions.

Skill Development

Recognising the importance of skills in today's competitive landscape, our program focuses on developing the 8 essential employability skills of listening, speaking, problem-solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, leadership and teamwork.

University and Further Education Support

For students considering higher education, we provide clear guidance on paths through Key Stage 4, 5 and University, providing information on a wide range of career-oriented courses. Our goal is to support each student in reaching their desired academic and career destinations.

Work Experience

To enhance practical understanding, all Year 10 students are offered the chance to participate in work experience, enabling them to apply classroom learning in real-world settings.

Alumni Network

Our thriving alumni network serves as an invaluable resource, connecting current students with successful graduates who share their experiences, insights, and advice. We frequently have students from previous years popping in to spend some time with us, sharing their experiences and offering support to younger pupils.

We invite students, parents, and the community to actively engage with The Gatwick School's Careers Program, as we strive to inspire and equip our students for a future full of possibilities.

Prepare for success with The Gatwick School – where every student's journey is a step toward a promising and fulfilling career.
