Go Ape and Tilgate Nature Centre

Last Thursday Year two went to Tilgate and spent the day at Go Ape and Tilgate Nature Centre. They were  all very brave, climbing and coming down the zip line, encouraging each other and having a go even if they were  nervous. They were very lucky to be out in the sun and enjoyed a picnic and the play park area too. After lunch the children went over to the Nature Park and had time to look around all the animals, and had a lesson, ‘Meet the Animals’ where they were able to hold some of the animals they met too! They all had a great time and came back very tired!

People in the Community

Last Wednesday Reception had two visits from people in the community, they met the Fire Brigade, who brought a live engine with them for the children to see inside and pull the hoses! In the afternoon they met the police and were able to look at their uniforms and ask lots of questions about how they keep us safe.

Inspired by @play.hooray (Instagram) and the impossible task of keep children cool this weekend, our SENDCo tried this little gem of an activity. All the equipment was found around the house and squirting the targets kept them occupied and cool for hours! Suitable for all ages as it can get quite competitive when the grown ups join in!
