Primary Sports Day

On Monday 8th July we had our annual  Sport’s Day and the children had a great time! The sportsmanship was fantastic from the children, they were supportive of each other and there was some friendly competition between the houses! They did so well running track, sprints and relays, and I was so impressed with all of them taking part with real skill in their field events—shot put, javelin and triple jump! Thank you so much Miss O’Neill, Miss Newman and Mr Grant for working with primary PE all year and setting up such a great day!

Paragon Spectacular

On Tuesday 9th July, selected year three and four children went to Hastings White Rock theatre to perform a piece linked to their paragon learning from the year. They were great, both performing, and supporting from the audience when there were other schools on stage. We were particularly proud as the youngest children performing—the rest were all year sixes from the Aurora Academies Trust.

Shard Trip

On Thursday 11th July the children in year four went up the Shard in central London, had lunch on the river bank by tower bridge, and went aboard the HMS Belfast. They had a great day, finding landmarks around London from the 72nd floor, going down into the engine room on the ship and eating ice cream with a view! They were also really sensible, making the teachers day more enjoyable too!
