Macmillan Coffee Events
Thank you so much for all your support at the Macmillan Coffee Morning! We raised £518.54 over the morning and afternoon. Children were fantastic, especially year five helpers who sold cakes for us. Thank you to all the parents who helped out and to all of our community for donating and attending the event.
This term we want to make sure that the children look really smart and are proud of their school. Please make sure the correct uniform is worn and that it has names in. Children need to make sure they wear ties to school and have plain black school shoes. Please see our full uniform list if on the website here if you need it.
On Friday 27th September, FOGS held their second Annual General Meeting to talk about what they have achieved over the past 12 months, their plans for the next 12 months and to vote in a committee. They now have a full complement of energetic and enthusiastic people to take the team forward for this year.
After the voting the FOGS team for this year will consist of:
Sarah Isaac - Chair
Mel Gosling - Vice Chair
Nicole Farncombe - Secretary
Kevin Isaac - Treasurer
Louise Zorgji - Voting member
Athena Papadimitriou - Voting member
Sarah Barnett - Teacher Liaison
They have lots of ideas of things that they would like to support this year, and activities that they would like to organise for the children. For this term, these will include:
A disco for Year 1 and 2 Students
Secondary hot chocolate morning break sale
A Christmas drop n shop event for year 3 to 5 students
They will have a monthly meeting to discuss upcoming activities, and get feedback and ideas. Coming along to these will not commit you to anything, so please do drop into the next one to meet some of the team, have a chat and see if there is anything that you would like to get involved with.

This term the children have been enjoying the new lunches that includes wraps, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. All children who are free school meals, have a main and a pudding included in their allowance. Anything additional is charged on your parent pay account. For children in year three, four and five, please make sure you check your child’s account.
Please be aware we are a nut free school which must be considered when packing a packed lunch. We also promote healthy eating and hope to see balanced lunch boxes. Any items that contain nuts could be sent home and your child will not be allowed to open them at school.
This term Colgate have been promoting oral health with children in schools and they have shared packs of children’s toothbrushes and children’s toothpaste, with supporting leaflets about how to look after their teeth. Please support your child in doing this and have a look at the items together.
