Welcome back! I hope you have all had a restful week and enjoyed your half term week at home together.
On Tuesday, some of our year three children led an assembly on Lent which started in the half term holidays. They were really clear and explained where lent originated from and what people do for lent. Some children in school have given something up this year and are looking forward to Easter already!
Chinese New Year
On Friday 9th February, just before half term, we celebrated Chinese New Year. We taught the children about the celebration, where it comes from and why it is celebrated. They took part in different activities such as noodle tasting, Chinese writing and Chinese dancing.
Dates for the Diary
- Wednesday 28th Feb—Turtles Swimming
- Thursday 1st March—World Book Day

On Friday 9th February some children took part in a project run by Thales using OzBots. These little robots are coded using colour sequences and the children were able to use the sequences to move the Ozbot around maps. These have been left in school with us to use for computing with KS1 and KS2 this term and the children are very excited about trying these out again with their teachers .
