Primary Update

On Tuesday, Penguins class led our primary assembly where they taught the school all about the PANTS rule. They explained the 5 rules with a helpful acronym to remind us what it means…

And they did a dance to Pantosaurus’ song which helps children to remember how to stay safe with their bodies! It can be found at this address if you want to watch it at home!

Spanish with year 7

Year 2 were very lucky last Friday to work with the Year 7s in Spanish. The older children had learnt about a topic in Spanish and used their knowledge and understanding to teach the Year 2s. We hope this will be an on-going feature as both the Y2s and Y7s really enjoyed it, and learnt a lot!

PE Stars 26/01/18

Last week, Miss Newman and Miss O’Neill started their PE stars of the week! They have busy days working with all the primary classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays and their first two stars this week were Akarsh in Y1 and Riley F in Y3.

On Monday 29th January we had Perform Drama school in working with all the children from Early Years to Year 2. They learnt about the importance of expression and movement in stories and they used music and dance to tell a story from Outer Space.

The children really enjoyed their workshops and found it interesting to look at the different movements that matched sounds they could hear.

Year 1 Writing

Year one have been working really hard on their Talk for Writing scheme of work this term. They have used the new structure to delve deep into a story, learn about the characters and style of writing, and then write their own versions of books, posters and leaflets. Their WANTED posters really worked—they had the missing games returned to them very quickly!
