Primary Update

180112001.jpg

This week, student council took our assembly on Tuesday 9th January. They taught us about recycling as they had been on a trip to the recycling centre. They shared information on what can be recycled and how and did an activity to show us exactly what they meant.

Thank you for sharing what you learnt, hopefully we can continue to go green as a school, and all the children can teach their families too!

Reindeer Run

I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for all the support sponsoring your child for the Reindeer run. It was for a great cause; Chestnut Tree House, and I know all the money raised will make such a positive difference to young people’s lives.

The Reindeer run was a great success and fun was had by all including the members of staff taking part in the day. Pupils were wearing their reindeer antlers and red noses all day and some even wore it the next day!!

The Gatwick School is a school where we are very proud of all the pupils and I must say I was bursting with pride when I found out how much we had raised. Therefore it gives me great pleasure to announce as a school we raised £2,008.28!!!! This is an incredible amount therefore once again I thank you for helping us make this happen by sponsoring your child. Every penny counted!!

Here is to a great start to the New Year and may it continue for the rest of the year!

Many Thanks,

Miss Newman

Please make sure that you collect your child from school at the correct time. Children who are not signed up will not be able to go to club, and we are unable to collect children midway through a club—these are a commitment. Please also wait outside for your child to come out at the end of the day or club, do not wait in reception.

Finally we are unable to allow parents into school to look for things or give messages, please speak to reception and they will pass on the message, or use Class Dojo.
