Welcome from the Head Boy and Girl
Millie Cumper – Head Girl
Hi I’m Millie
I am head girl. My job is to improve the school in any way I can, I also have to represent the school at events. At the school councils weekly meetings I share any ideas that have been brought to my attention by my fellow students, so if you have any concerns please tell me and I will see if anything can be done to help. I hope in the coming year that I can help better the school.
Shane Smith – Head Boy
Hi, my name is Shane and I am the head boy for the Gatwick School.
I joined this school within the first year it opened, I was one of the first 30 in the whole school! People could say that it was a bit of a risk but I believed in the school and everything they said. The school has shown that it did what it said it would do and we have come a long way. The way this school is run has really helped me to evolve into the person I am. The fact that it is a relatively small school allows teachers to know each student and understand what they need to achieve. I thought carefully about being Head boy. I came to the conclusion that it is something I should definitely go for. I want to leave my mark at the Gatwick School and be able to say, ‘I did that!’. I went and applied and before I knew it I was being interviewed. I am working hard to make this school a better place to be. If you have any suggestions for us, please let me know.
