Reception Paragon Topic

Dear Parents,

Thank you for all the hard work at home last term on your houses and homes projects. We were really impressed with the outcomes from all the children and they spoke in front of their peers and other parents really well!

This term asks the question ‘what do clothes teach us about people?’ where the children will learn about clothing for different climates, special clothing for celebrations, clothing from around the world and what it can be made from. In English we are concentrating on using sounds to write words and short sentences, and in Maths looking at shape, time and size.

Over the weekend we invited you to join Tapestry – this is our online learning journal where we log all the learning children do using photos, against the Early Learning Goals. We would like to teach you more about how to use it on Tuesday 20th March at 5pm in A Block hall. We will also show you strategies to support children in phonics and reading during this event.

Our next paragon event is on Wednesday 28th March at 2.15pm in A Block hall, the children will work with Year one to share their learning from this half term.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours Sincerely,

Nirali Nagji
(Deputy Head)
